K Rothwell is a new design led fine jewellery brand based in London, presented by Karen Rothwell. Working in silver Karen mixes traditional hand craftsmanship with a modern design aesthetic. The brand offers pieces that are perfectly unique and a wonder to wear.

Karen uses her technical silversmithing skills to inform her exploration of innovative techniques and discovery of the limits of new materials. Combining this with her expertise in conventional jewellery methods she creates unique and exciting design solutions which bring her collection into a new dimension of exclusive and bespoke jewellery collections.

Her natural curiosity and enthusiasm for her subject, combined with her passion for travel and world cultures inspires her to look at jewellery techniques and designs. Bringing them back to London she combines traditional with contemporary, forming exciting new creative opportunities in the jewellery market.

Karen’s a/w 2011 work The Tutaonana Collection exhibits her skill in the technique of mokume gane and her exploration of bark cloth, a new material imported from Uganda. This collection has been supported by MADE and is was showcased in their showroom and is now up on their site.
